Handicapped Parking Placard Applications – Applications to receive a permanent or temporary handicapped parking placard are available at the township office. You can bring your completed application to our office. As of 2/21 we are out of Temp. Ride Lake County – Avon Township residents have curb-to-curb dial-a-ride services within the six townships of Antioch, Avon, Fremont, Grant, Lake Villa and Wauconda, and also to Gurnee Mills commercial area, Greenleaf Avenue medical offices, and the downtown Mundelein area. RTA/METRA Reduced Fare Pass – Applications are available to receive a Senior / Disabled Reduced Fare RTA/METRA Pass. You must be 65 years of age or disabled and bring in an Illinois State I.D. or Drivers License. If disabled, there is a section on the application for the physician to fill out or if you are receiving Social Security Disability, you need to bring in your Notice of Award letter. We will take your picture free of charge. It normally takes 3 weeks to receive your pass. The Free Ride Pass is for Benefit Access recipients only. Schedules are available at the township.
